Beyonce Swears by It: This Program Works for Weight Loss and Cleansing

It is gaining popularity in leaps and bounds and although I heard about this program way back in 2000, I never would have foreseen that it would one day be something that almost anyone in holistic and alternative living would know off AND actually use.

Its known as the Master Cleanser (aka Lemonade diet) and even R&B singer; Beyonce, is in on the program as she reportedly used the Lemonade fasting recipe to shed weight while filming the upcoming movie: Dreamgirls.

Nonetheless, I am of the firm belief that the author or maker of this recipe-the late Dr. Stanley Burroughs-never had any intentions of having this program being seen as a shortcut to a rapid weight loss. quite the contrary, even though you will inevitably lose the pounds, the goal here is more for cleansing and detoxification, rather than just losing weight quickly or rapidly.

So without further ado, I share the recipe with you so you too can try it out for yourself:

* 2 Tbsp lemon or lime juice (approx. 1/2 lemon)

* 2 Tbsp genuine maple syrup (not maple flavored sugar syrup)

* 1/10 Tsp cayenne pepper (red pepper) or to taste

* water, medium hot (spring or purified water)

Combine the juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper in a 10 oz. glass and fill with medium hot water. (Cold water may be used if preferred.) Use fresh lemons or limes only, never canned lemon or lime juice nor frozen lemonade or frozen juice. Use organic lemons when possible.

The author suggests that you drink a laxative tea both morning and night or use the salt water wash that he recommends in his program in the morning with the tea at night.

From my experience, the best tea to use will be the Smooth Move Tea and for the salt water wash, here are the guidelines:

Prepare a full quart of lukewarm water and add two level (rounded for the Canadian quart) teaspoons of uniodized sea salt. Do not use ordinary iodized salt as it will not work property.

Drink the entire quart of salt and water first thing in the morning. This must be taken on an empty stomach.

The salt and water will not separate but will stay intact and quickly and thoroughly wash the entire tract in about one hour.

now, coming of the fast is also an important phase that should be approached with caution, I laughed out when I read that though Beyonce may have used this program, she reportedly went on a binge feast of junk food to gain her weight back.

Well, I dont know if that is true, but if it was, that is a No, No!

That can be very dangerous and I am quite sure that even if she did, she would have been wise enough to have at least observe the steps provided in the program on how to prepare the body for solid food to avoid any hassles.

The steps are to drink fresh squeezed orange juice for a day or two after the master cleansing period and on the third morning, have some orange juice in the morning, a mono-meal of fruit in the afternoon and a salad (or preferably more fruit) in the evening.

Then on the fourth day, it is advised that a Mucus-less or Mucus poor diet (which consists of raw and/or properly cooked fruits, roots, leaves and occasional-less harmful whole grains, nuts and seedsif desired) be adhered to for maintenance.

Also ensure that you:

1. Get as much Fresh Air as possible.

2. Get as much Rest as Possible

3. DON'T use microwaves...at all.

4. Avoid negative mass media and suggestions.

5. Don't overexert yourself, at least not till you feel up to physical activities

6. Don't break a fast with just any food...fruits are your best bet.

Well, Beyonce swore by it, Robin Quivers, Howard Sterns long-suffering sidekick says it made her drop from 218 lbs to a svelte 145 pound-figure and I have tried it to success, so it does work.

At least it cant hurt and could help immensely my friend.

Our complete society is going to be interactive. Objects will be able to sense, reason, communicate, and act. Our surroundings will assess and modify according to our wants and needs. It is not too far away; in fact, it has already begun.

Sensors play a prevalent and productive role in our world. Sensors are electric transducers that translate a physical property into an electrical signal. Sensors assess physical phenomena such as pressure, light, and temperature, and then relate the recordings via electrical impulse. Sensors are found on roads, in homes, in office buildings, in industrial warehouses, etc.

Sensor technology has far advanced sensor capabilities. Sensors are not just stationary, autonomous objects; through wireless connections, networks of sensors are using their synergy to create more views into our world.

What they are capable of

The technology is inviting opportunities for sensors to function in novel ways:

-By planting sensors in objects, the objects can translate intelligence relating to its use. The object becomes interactive with its environment and its central control agency.

-Technology is enabling the size of sensors to diminish in size and augment in efficiency. Sensors as small as a couple cubic millimeters can be utilized to read an expansive area of land by communicating with one another and a centralized site.

-Sensor networks are facilitated by short-range wireless connections. As aforementioned, sensors are no longer solitary, autonomous objects, but act in an integrated fashion with other sensors to create a network of intelligence.

What they can do for your business

Sensors are used in many areas of life, but have made an impact on the face of business. What sort of things can sensors do for your business?

-Sensors provide the ability of acquiring real-time data. information about an environment or particular situation can be relayed from wherever it is taking place in actual time. Imagine micro sensors being used on roads to assess conditions and accessed by drivers before hazards take place; or, farmers having land conditions assessed in order to implement nutrients for better food growth.

-Manufacturers will be able to better determine processes if individual objects are affixed with sensors. Each stage can be analyzed and modified according to sensor-relayed data.

-Along with the insight into products, sensors can provide a view into the habits of consumers. Tracking consumer habits along with other marketing information will enable businesses to procure and further individualize their approach towards consumers.

-Sensors virtually read their environments. This means a business will have all the criteria needed to simulate real situations. This can be applied to agriculture, the military, transportation, etc.

These are just a few possibilities arriving with the implementation of sensor technology. Experience and modifications will only inspire further developments. For instance, sensors placed in the human body can presage diseases, ailments, birth defects, etc., alerting the medical world of problems in their early, more manageable and benevolent stages.

What does all of this mean for your business?

Ah, the soft and tender words coming from my militant hot-yoga instructornot exactly soothing. Isnt yoga supposed to be relaxing, you ask? Not the kind Ive been doing for a while. I prefer to think of it as bootcamp yoga: an hour and a half dripping with sweat in a very hot room, often practising next to someone who had too much garlic at dinner last night, contorting myself into positions that make my head want to explode, while feeling murderous towards the teacherwelcome to my form of heaven.

Do I enjoy torturing myself this way three times a week come rain or shine? NO. Do I often get into the hot room and want to run out the door screaming? YES. Do I pay a lot of money to go through this torture? YES. Am I glad I do it? ABSOLUTELY.

You may be scratching your head in confusion at this point and I totally understand why. But when I tell you the real reason I do this exercise regime three times a week religiously, suffering and cursing the entire time, youll understand where Im coming from.

At the age of 36, Ive gotten a bit wiser when it comes to health and taking care of my body. Gone are the days of starving myself or overeating and then punishing myself through exercise. Believe it or not, I absolutely LOVE exercise now. Not because it makes me skinny (nothing will do that due to having the pulchritudinous physique of my shapely Jewish female ancestors which I have come to learn is purely genetic). However, regular exercise does keep me at a healthy weight for my size and stops me from obsessing about my body and food (except during PMS when my body and mind are overtaken by some form of alien life who temporarily makes me think that chocolate is in itself, an entire food group and that excess water in the tummy area is a must-have).

The reason I love exercise now is how it makes me feel AFTERWARDS. You see, after I leave an exercise class, I am transformed. No matter how crappy, miserable, sad, or angry I am feeling before I exercise, for some incredible reason, I consistently feel energized, positive, relaxed, and peaceful after a good workout. And so do many of the women I know. Now we know from brain research that exercise boosts serotonin, the feel-good neurotransmitter in our brains, increases endorphins; chemicals in our bodies that make us feel happy and neighbourly, and relaxes our muscles, which in turn, relaxes our mind.

I encourage all of my clients to follow a regular, three-times-a-week exercise regime of their choice as the first step in improving their mental health. I have not met one single person who has adopted this healthy lifestyle habit who has not greatly improved their mood, productivity, and reduced stress in their lives as a result. I know we hear it over and over again about exercising regularly, but being the stubborn self-willed person that I am, I have finally accepted that other people are wise when they espouse this concept and its not a conspiracy to make me conform to some strange cult.

I have witnessed countless womens mental health improve vastly from including regular exercise into their lives including recovery from depression, anxiety, disordered eating, post-traumatic stress, and many other issues.

I especially recommend regular exercise for women who are suffering from the effects of being in any kind of abusive relationship where they were systematically stripped of their dignity, sense of worth, and faith in their abilities. Vigorous exercise in this case, especially something like kickboxing, can be extremely empowering and help you to overcome feelings of worthlessness and toxic shame. through the act of exercising, you can transform a negative self-concept into one of power, strength, and awareness of your abilities and gifts.

In my therapy practise, I have discovered that many women are weighed down with depression or anxiety and that what is often underneath those labels is suppressed anger and/or grief. Being in our bodies and expressing ourselves physically through regular exercise is a fabulous way of releasing emotions that have been stuffed down for a long time.

Exercise can be extremely helpful in moving our feelings up and out of the body and can thus free up energy and leave us feeling lighter, stronger, and more peaceful and in control of our destiny.

There are so many wonderful, exhilarating, and enjoyable forms of exercise out there. Check them all out, try them out, and find the one(s) that you feel the best doing. Experiment and have fun!
